QA Lead – MAM

Location: Budapest

Key accountabilities:

  • Extensive use and knowledge of TV broadcasting, device automation control in general, and a familiarity with Harris Media Asset Management products.
  • Responsible for ensuring test plans and test procedures are properly documented and followed.
  • Produce weekly metrics related to the accomplishments of the team and the status of defects/enhancements delivered to QA by the engineering team.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of the software release and providing the appropriate documentation (release notes etc.)
  • Will work very closely with software developers to understand a defect scenario, as well as to learn about new features and how they function.
  • Responsible for leading the local test team, assigning tasks and verifying completion.
  • Required to work with the Engineering team to test defects and enhancements as they are fixed to eliminate test backlogs.
  • Some on-site travel (customer site) may be required to help validate issue resolution; responsible for scheduling resources to accomplish the task.
  • Position reports to Software Quality Engineer Manager and will require establishment of a working relationship with the engineering team to execute to priorities as put forth by Product Management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, engineering.
  • Good knowledge of standard QA processes in relation to hardware/software test and experience in scheduling and managing a QA team with on-site personnel as evidenced by relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years direct work experience in the software QA field.
  • Ability to travel; not expected to exceed 15-20 %.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • TV broadcast automation and MAM industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with real time, or near real time systems is a plus.
  • Experience in the following areas is a plus: TV broadcasting, device automation control in general, and a familiarity with Harris Media Asset Management products.
